ABOUT BIPAF

Bandung Isola Performing Arts Festival (BIPAF) adalah sebuah festival yang menjadi wadah promosi karya seni pertunjukan inovatif terkurasi (tari, teater tari, drama tari) di Kota Bandung. Festival ini merupakan bentuk fasilitasi bagi para pencipta, penyaji seni, dan tim pekerja kreatif untuk mementaskan karyanya, sehingga terjadinya kolaborasi dan transaksi dengan para direktur festival dan venue presenters tingkat nasional dan internasional.

BIPAF  diselenggarakan oleh UPT Kebudayaan dan BIPAF Community bekerjasama dengan LPPM UPI. Festival ini didesain untuk indoor maupun outdoor stage dengan mengambil latar bangunan heritage “Villa Isola” UPI. Tema festival adalah “Identity and Community Building”. BIPAF ingin menampilkan identitas kampus dengan bangunan heritage-nya dan sekaligus menjadi ajang networking komunitas seniman seni pertunjukan, baik dalam maupun luar negeri.

BIPAF menampilkan showcase lima karya seni pertunjukan dan lima karya dalam bentuk presentasi atau pitching, dilanjutkan dengan diskusi bersama para direktur festival. Diharapkan melalui BIPAF ini akan muncul karya-karya inovasi unggulan seniman Indonesia, serta karya kolaborasi lintas negera. Diharapkan juga, terbangun networking dan kerjasama secara nasional dan internasional.

BIPAF bertujuan mempertemukan para pelaku kreatif, koreografer, produser seni pertunjukan dengan stakeholder-nya melalui showcase, pitching, dan diskusi agar terjalin jejaring dan kolaborasi, serta membangun komunitas seni pertunjukan. Diharapkan BIPAF dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan industri kreatif khususnya seni pertunjukan di Indonesia.

Bandung Isola Performing Arts Festival (BIPAF) is a festival that serves as a platform for promoting curated innovative performing arts works (dance, dance theater, dance drama) in the city of Bandung. This festival serves as a form of facilitation for creators, performers, and creative teams to showcase their works, leading to collaborations and transactions with national and international festival directors and venue presenters.


BIPAF is organized by the UPT Kebudayaan and BIPAF Community in collaboration with LPPM UPI. This festival is designed for both indoor and outdoor stages, set against the backdrop of the heritage building "Villa Isola" UPI. The theme of the festival is "Identity and Community Building." BIPAF wants to showcase the campus identity with its heritage buildings and simultaneously serve as a networking platform for the performing arts community, both domestically and internationally.


BIPAF features a showcase of five performing arts works and five works in the form of presentations or pitching, followed by discussions with the festival directors. It is hoped that through BIPAF, outstanding innovative works by Indonesian artists will emerge, as well as cross-country collaborative works. It is also hoped that networking and cooperation will be established nationally and internationally.


BIPAF aims to bring together creative practitioners, choreographers, performing arts producers with their stakeholders through showcases, pitching, and discussions to foster networking and collaboration, as well as to build a performing arts community. It is hoped that BIPAF can contribute to the development of the creative industry, particularly performing arts, in Indonesia.
